Health Resources
If you and your family are facing difficult decisions, a few community organizations would like to help. Your family’s health is your first priority during this time; making sure they have access to healthcare options is a huge part of that. As soon as you think you might need some help, we would like to encourage you to reach out to us. With the help of our community partners, we are here for you in several ways:
- The Department of Human Services: Division of Family & Children Services manages a set of social benefit programs. Medicaid is a program that provides health care services to individuals who meet the requirements for income, resources and citizenship. Coverage categories include low-income families with children under age 19 and adults who are age 65 or over, blind or disabled.
- Urban Health and Wellness provides routine primary care, manages chronic illness and/or diseases, and assists with accessing prescription medications.
- Jerusalem House, Inc. provides permanent supportive housing to individuals and families (including children) who are affected by HIV/AIDS and are homeless or low-income.
