We are looking for a communications assistant who is an enthusiastic lover of sports, live entertainment, and people with a true passion for engaging in meaningful interactions and creating memorable experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Create and distribute single-game and season-long credentials, along with food vouchers, for media, TV crew, entertainment, stats crew, agents, and guests for all Skyhawks home games
- Hand out media credentials at the media entrance beginning 3 hours prior to tip-off
- Facilitate halftime and postgame player walk-offs for interviews with TV and arena entertainment
Qualifications:
- Academic and/or work experiences related to one or more of the following: Journalism, Communications, Sports Management or Public Relations
- Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and be on-call as necessary based on the changing priorities of the department
The Burnette Agency is offering a 16-week internship for a few eager and hardworking individuals. The Social Media Intern will report to the Social Media Account Coordinators and work closely with the company’s Owner. Candidate must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours a week onsite and attend mandatory meetings on Monday and Thursday at 9:10 AM in Atlanta.
