Career and Internship Advisor | Kennesaw State University

Provides individual and group career advisement, including but not limited to industry/career exploration, resume critique, and salary negotiation. Works closely with faculty and staff to administer the Internship and Co-op (experiential education) program in their assigned college(s). Works with Career Planning and Development’s Employer Relations team to make industry connections for students. Conducts campus-wide workshops and networking events.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists students with resume and cover letter writing, interview tips, salary negotiation, and more
  • Creates specific programming for students to assist them in generating career goals
  • Performs classroom, campus, and orientation presentations to students at the request of faculty or departmental staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR two (2) years related experience (can include graduate assistantships in a Masters program)
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver’s license
  • Knowledge of Handshake or other CRM software
  • Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette

Pay:$45,900 to $57,300/yr

Office Manager | City of Atlanta

Manages and directs the daily operations of the Office of the Mayor. This includes office management, reception duties, and administrative functions. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to receiving and responding to telephone inquiries, ensuring efficient operations, planning expenditures, maintaining budgetary records, and preparing reports. Position reports to the Business Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Register, welcome, and assist each stakeholder and invited guests while visiting the suite
  • Assist with the setup, cleaning and sanitization of the Mayor’s Cabinet Room and the Mayor’s Small Conference Room; ensuring area is neat, cleaned, and sanitized
  • Process iExpense statements, credit card reconciliations for travel team and incoming damage claims

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and/or three (3) years experience in secretarial science, office management, business/public administration, or related field  
  • Ability to multi-task, assess priorities and competently handle a variety of activities with a high-degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Pay: $55,000 to $60,000/yr
