Khamaya Hilton
Associate, College Success
What brings me to this work?
Education equity, in particular, has become extremely important to me, as it can be a powerful lever for opportunity and long-term success. I believe every student deserves access to an educational experience that not only prepares them to thrive but also empowers them to move towards personal liberation.
Khamaya received her Master of Social Work degree from Georgia State University and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Winthrop University. She joins the Achieve Atlanta team as an Associate, College Success, and provides direct support to Scholars as they navigate their college journey. She also partners with postsecondary institutions to connect Scholars to resources that encourage persistence and college success. Khamaya strives to be a mobilizer, understanding that collaboration is required on every level to make a collective impact.
Prior to her role at Achieve Atlanta, Khamaya started as a peer tutor during her undergraduate career and moved into roles that focused on students and communities, including impactful programming that prioritized long-term results and sustainability. When Khamaya is not focused on breaking barriers, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and trying new foods.
