Dr. Yarbrah Peeples
Director, College Success
What brings me to this work?
I have a deep-rooted commitment to ensuring students not only dream big, but also access the resources, relationships, and systems they need to bring those dreams to life. I believe in the power of strategic partnerships to multiply impact, and I’m energized by the opportunity to drive meaningful outcomes for students right here in Atlanta—where place-based collaboration can open doors and expand possibilities.
Yarbrah earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management and Master of Business Administration from Florida A&M University, a master’s degree in Higher Education from Florida State University, and a doctorate in Higher Education Administration from the University of Georgia. As Director, College Success at Achieve Atlanta, she leads the organization’s college persistence and completion efforts. In this role, Yarbrah is responsible for leveraging insights from data and stakeholder input to continuously refine and strengthen Achieve Atlanta’s strategy for partnering with postsecondary institutions and nonprofit providers through its coordinated action model, with the goal of ensuring every Achieve Atlanta Scholar persists through college and earns a meaningful credential.
Before joining Achieve Atlanta, Yarbrah served as Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy at Leadership for Educational Equity and held multiple senior leadership roles at the College Advising Corps over a span of four years. Throughout her 20-year career in college access and success, she has led teams, developed high-impact programs, and advanced equity-focused strategies across both higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations.
In addition to her role at Achieve Atlanta, Yarbrah is also a speaker, consultant, and leadership coach, focused on developing purpose-driven leaders and sustainable systems that advance student success.
