Welcoming Four New Team Members
Achieve Atlanta has added four new team members in 2021! We are excited to introduce these new team members, bringing additional capabilities and increasing our ability to carry out our mission and vision.
Breale Howard
As our new College Success Coach Fellow, Breale will deliver holistic coaching support to a caseload of Scholars (primarily at ATC and AMSC) and provide resources to help Scholars successfully persist and complete. We first got to know Breale in 2018 when she supported 60+ Scholars as a graduate assistant at the University of West Georgia (UWG). Breale graduated from UWG with her bachelor’s and master’s degree in psychology.
Femi Johnson
Femi Johnson joins Achieve Atlanta as the first Director, College Access. Femi most recently served as a Program Manager with the National Math and Science Initiative where she supported 45 schools in the Southeastern region of the US with strategic planning and program support. Femi started her career as a classroom teacher, teaching both English and Special Education. Femi earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College and has M.Ed.s in Special Education and Secondary Education from Arcadia University. She currently serves on the board of directors of SEM Link.
Natalee Jones
As our very first data strategy fellow, Natalee Jones will be supporting the team with cleaning and organizing data and conducting analysis to inform programing. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Policy with an emphasis in Education Policy at Georgia State University and will be graduating this May 2021. Most recently, she was a fellow at the UPS Foundation working with the diversity and inclusion team and earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Brigham Young University.
Brandy McDonald-Johnson
Brandy is a recent graduate of Georgia Southern University and is currently considering attending law school for a better understanding at the legal side of Communications. She is also an Achieve Atlanta Graduate (former Scholar) and graduated from Therrell High School. During her time at GSU, she was secretary and interim president for the Society of Professional Journalists as well as Editor in Chief for the Communications Department’s news website. Brandy completed a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Public Relations.
