Following an academic career at the University of Texas at Austin Law School, Tina Fernandez moved to Atlanta in 2014 shortly before becoming executive director of Achieve Atlanta.
The organization works with public schools, nonprofits, and colleges and universities to assist underserved students achieving a postsecondary education. It has awarded over $40 million in college scholarships and assisted around 1,000 college graduates, Fernandez said.
